The Log off Option
The ―Log off‖ option is used once the customer has completed the tasks they require on the Serial GSM
Gateway. When the ―Log off‖ option is used the Serial GSM Gateway will Log out the customer and return the
customer to the Serial GSM Gateway Log in prompt.
The Serial GSM Gateway also has a security feature that will automatically log out the customer after a period
of inactivity. The interval is 4 minutes. If no activity has been observed by the Serial GSM Gateway after the 4
minute wait period the Serial GSM Gateway will return the customer to the Logon prompt screen.
The ―Log off‖ option
(Figure 3-13)
can only be accessed from the ―Main‖ menu. It is special option character
―*‖ on the ―Main‖ menu.
Follow these steps to access the ―Log off‖ option:

Remember after you enter the number associated with a menu option, you must press
the ―Enter key‖.

From the main menu select special option character number ―*‖.
