• To clean the fans, spacers and filters use a soft brush or cloth. Do not use air pressure
for cleaning the fans. This will damage the fans.
• When the fans are clean, reinstall them using the above steps in reverse order.
•
Do not blow air through the fans or the fan screens while the fan plate is assembled
on the SB6000U.
Testing the Fans
You can verify the operation of the fans in two ways:
• Set the parameter “Fan Test“ to “1“ (with Sunny Data, Sunny Data Control or with
the data logger Sunny Boy Control).
or
• Use the jumpers on the control board of the Sunny Boy 6000U (see Figure 9-1).
After setting the jumper, turn off the inverter and wait until the LED’s go out. Once the
LED’s are out, switch on the inverter. (The Sunny Boy 6000U will not detect the jumper
until you cycle power to the inverter.)
