Adjust the Up and Down Limits
Travel Limits
Travel Limits regulate how much the door travels, i.e. the
fully open position and the fully closed position. When the
door reaches either one of these preset positions, the door
will stop. Since most doors require a different travel limit
setting, you must set the travel limits in order for the
opener to work properly.
1) Press and hold the “PROG” button for 10 seconds to
enter programming mode.
2) The “PROG” and “ ” icons are on, with an arrow
pointing to “Travel Limits”. You are now ready to set the
Up Limit.
3) Pressing the “ ” button will cause the door to open.
Pressing the “ ” button will cause the door to close.
Adjust the door's position by pressing these 2 buttons
until the door reaches the desired fully open position,
then press “SET” button to confirm the Up Travel Limit.
4) After setting the Up Travel Limit, you are ready to
program the Down Travel Limit. The “ ” icon will be
on. Use the same up / down buttons to adjust the
door's position until the door reaches the desired fully
closed position, then press “SET” button to confirm the
Down Travel Limit.
5) You have now finished setting the Up and Down Limits,
the Wall Console will begin another programming
sequence, Force Adjustment.
Note:
During the force adjustment, do not obstruct the
door's travel or the safety beam sensor.
Note:
Ensure the trolley is in the engaged position with
the chain traveler while adjusting the travel limits.
Without a properly installed safety reversal system,
persons (particularly small children) could be seriously
injured or killed by a closing garage door.
- Incorrect adjustment of garage door travel limits will
interfere with proper operation of safety reversal
system
- The door will move during the travel limits adjustment,
stay clear of the opener's chain, door and all other
moving parts
- Safety reversal system must be tested every month
- After adjusting the travel limits, user must allow the
door to operate one complete cycle in order to allow
the opener to re-adjust the opening and closing force
- After any adjustments are made, the safety reversal
system must be tested. Door must reverse on contact
with one-inch high object (or 2 X 4 laid flat) on the floor.

Force Setting
After adjusting the travel limit, either the up or down, or
both directions, the opener will readjust the operating force
and would require you to open and close the garage door
in a complete cycle. When the Wall Console returns to
standby condition after finishing all programming, the Wall
Console display will show an up flashing arrow, which
indicates you need to open the door once so it will readjust
the opening force. When the down flashing arrow appears,
this indicates you need to close the door once so it will
readjust the closing force.
