ENGINE EQUIPPED WITH “RAVE”. ENGINE HESITATES AT MID-SPEED AND
REACHES MAXIMUM PERFORMANCE ONLY AFTER A WHILE

CONDITION

NORMAL USE

Test/Inspection

1. Check “RAVE” valve spring(s).

a.Spring tension is too weak or spring(s) is (are) broken.

Replace.

2. Check “RAVE” valve cover red adjustment screws.

a.Adjustment screw(s) is (are) too loose.

Fully tighten.

3. Check “RAVE” valve movement (“RAVE” movement indicator P/N 861 7258 00).

a.Valve(s) is (are) stuck in open position.

Clean.
