d) If the horizontal alignment is very poor the laser lines might travel outside the detector
areas. If this happens a rough alignment must be done. Do this by aiming the laser
lines at the positioning detectors in the 9 o’clock position.
Turn the measuring units to the 3 o’clock position when the lines will hit outside the
detector areas. Adjust the lines to the position half-way between the detector centre
and the actual position by means of the adjustment mechanism as per fig. 13. Align
the Movable machine until the lines hit the centre of the positioning detector.
