instructions.

Intended Use

Model V340HH electronic air shutoff
assembly is designed to operate exclusively
with Lincoln PMV pumps

The function of the electronic air shutoff

assembly, also known as an overrun con-
troller, is to prevent pump damage, due to
high runaway speeds (excessive number of
pump cycles per minute), if lubrication drum
or tank is emptied.

The overrun controller will shut off the

pump, and signal an alarm if the pump
exceeds its pre-set cycle rate.

Any other use not in accordance with

instruction will result in loss of claims for
warranty and liability.

System Overview

The electronic air shutoff assembly operates
as a pump speed monitor and overrun
controller for instances where pump speed
exceeds preset levels due to low lubricant
levels.

Pump cycles are continuously monitored

by a Programmable Control Board (PCB) for
correct operating cycles. If the pump cycles
exceed PCB settings, a solenoid is activated
which utilizes compressed air to shutoff
pump operation.

Description

The electronic air shutoff assembly monitors
pump speed as the overrun controller
assembly receives a discharge of
compressed air from the pump with each
pump cycle.

A processor detects air discharges via a

pressure switch. If the CPM (Cycles Per Min-
ute) exceeds a preset number of cycles, a
solenoid is activated which redirects the dis-
charged air, which in turn activates a mech-
anism which interrupts pump operation.
