The device may only be used for purposes

approved by the manufacturer

Before the actual measurement, it is necessary

to perform the calibration, see: use

Perform calibration regularly

Make sure the prism and lid are clean

Do not clean with corrosive or abrasive

substances

Do not rinse the device with water, only carefully

clean the prism (with the enclosed cloth) to

prevent water from entering under the prism

Any damage to the prism will damage the device

For measurement accuracy, the prism and test

When testing the battery electrolyte, avoid

contact with the skin or eyes !!!

Notice

specimen must have the same temperature

Use

1. Open the cover

2. Pipette 2-3 drops of distilled water on the prism

3. Close the cover so that the liquid can be evenly

distributed over the entire surface of the prism to

prevent the formation of dry spots / bubbles

4. Wait 30 seconds for the temperatures to equalize

5. Aim the cap at the light source and look into the

eyepiece

6. You will see a circular field with several scales

7. Rotate the eyepiece to focus the scale

8. The upper part of the circular field should be blue

9. The bottom should be white

10. Turn the calibration screw until the boundary

between the top and bottom reaches 0 (middle

scale).

Custom measurement

1. Apply a few drops of the test sample to the prism

2. Close the cover

3. Aim it at the light source and look into the

eyepiece

4. The concentration value is determined on the

scale by the place where the blue and white

boundaries are shifted
