9.2 Conversion instructions for non-"Facescan ready" units

Installation Instructions Facescan

9.2.10

Lay cable conduit L78 on the ring

Connecting cables to the arm

1. Route cables L78(L73) and L78(L74) from below past the laser

module through the bushing in the arm.

2. Insert cable L78(L73) on the arm into socket X500 on board DX1.
3. Remove the transport lock from the plug of Ethernet cable L77(L72).
4. Insert Ethernet cable L77(L72) in the ST coupling (S) of cable

L78(L74).

5. Fasten the ST coupling (S) to the arm with the aid of two adhesive

sockets and two cable ties (see image).

IMPORTANT

Possible assembly errors
The locking catch of the RJ45 plug of Ethernet cable L77(L72) is

secured with adhesive tape for protection.
➢ Remove the adhesive tape from the RJ45 plug of Ethernet cable

L77(L72).

IMPORTANT

Possible assembly errors
If the ST coupling (S) is fastened too far from the stand, then the length

of Ethernet cable L77(L72) in the stand will not be sufficient.
The distance (U) between the ST coupling (S) and the bar (T) may only

be a maximum of 4 cm!
➢ Fasten the ST coupling as closely as possibly to the bar (T).
