DRAWING UP THE BOBBIN THREAD 

 

1.  Hold the end of the needle thread with you your left hand  
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
2.  Turn the balance wheel slowly towards you with your 

right hand until the needle goes down and comes up. 
Then stop the balance wheel the take-up lever is at its 
highest position. 
Lightly draw up the needle thread forming a loop with the 
bobbin thread. 
 
 
 
 
 

3.  Pull about 15 cm (6 inches) of both threads away from 

you under the presser foot.
