Reviewing Your Synchronization Options
StorageSync provides a number of synchronize options. Table 7 summarizes the StorageSync
synchronize options.
Table 7. Synchronize Options
Option Description
Synchronize the Files Files with a more recent date and time are copied onto both the
selected media drive and your computer’s hard drive. This option
synchronizes all files color coded in green or purple in the
synchronize list.
Media Drive overwrites
User’s Hard Drive Allows files on the selected media drive to overwrite the
corresponding files on your computer’s hard drive, regardless of
their date and time. This option affects all files color coded in
green or purple on the synchronize list.
Hard Drive overwrites
selected Media Drive Allows files on your computer’s hard drive to be backed up onto
the selected media drive. This option affects all files color coded
in green or purple on the synchronize list
Do Nothing StorageSync takes no action with the files on the selected media
drive or your computer’s hard drive. This option lets you keep
both versions of a file.
