GENERAL CHARACTERISTICS
software enables configuration reading and writing operations, updating
the device firmware and obtaining basic information about devices through RS-485 serial
interface. This application enables to quickly and easily define device parameters in one of
three possible configuration models. The set of parameters can be transmitted directly to the
device or stored in a file for future use.

INSTALLATION AND STARTUP
file is designed to install the program. The install file is locate in
folder on CD delivered with device.
During installation follow the directions provided
by
Installation wizard
.
The wizard will create a folder called
on the computer’s hard
drive, program files will be placed in this folder. The shortcut to the program will be placed in a
location specified by the user.
Manual startup of the program is done using the
SToolkit.exe
executable file. Directly
after startup the program will attempt to establish communication with the device in order to
read the current setup. The attempt to establish communications is executed using default
(during initial program startup) settings of RS-485 port options (baud rate 9600 b/s, address 0,
port: COM2) or setting defined by the user during previous launch of the program. If these
settings are different than the default, or those recently used, the program will signal the
communications error. After setting correct values in the
Interface options
tab, read the
current configuration in
RS485 port settings
section using the
[Read from device]
button.
