Probleem Mogelijke
oorzaak Oplossing
LED is off
No supply voltage
Switch on 24 V DC supply voltage
(Switch on Manager IQ Easy)
Faulty wiring
Locate fault and remedy, see 5.3
Cable break in the M12
connection
cable/connector
Replace M12 cable/connector
LED do not light
up orange, keep
flashing green
High voltage set too low
(<1kV)
Increase output voltage by increasing
setpoint (6.2)
IQ Com is not set to "Run"
mode
Set the IQ Com to "Run" mode (6.2)
"Remote On/Off" signal is
not active
Set the "Remote On/Off" signal to active
or set the IQ Com to "Continuous mode"
(6.2)
LED light up red
CM5 parameters are not
correct
Change CM5 parameters (6.1)
Output voltage set too
high, arcing at the
charging bar/electrode
Reduce output voltage by reducing
setpoint or increasing distance to earth
Short circuit between
charging bar / electrode or
HV cable and earth
Locate short circuit and eliminate
LED is flashing
red, slow, 1 Hz
Eeprom read error warning Check the parameter settings and then
restart the IQ Com
Eeprom read error alarm
The IQ Com is defective, ask a RMA and
send it back to Simco
(Chapter 10)
Supply voltage too low
Check the supply voltage (IQ Easy
manager)
CM5 generator not
connected or powered
down
Connect the CM5 generator to the IQ
Com and make sure it is powered on
"HV OK" output
overloaded
Eliminate overload (24 V DC > 50 mA)
Output current peak too
low or too high
Set the output current peak warnings /
alarms to the correct value (6.2)
Charging pulse too long
Set the time for the charging pulse and
the charging pulse warning to the correct
value (6.2)
LED is flashing
red, fast, 5 Hz
No communication
between the IQ Com and
the IQ Easy manager
Check the wiring between the IQ Com
and the IQ Easy manager
Restart the IQ Easy manager
