Petrol mix:

You need 5 litres of petrol and 200ml of two stroke oil (petrol station)

•Pour 5 litres of petrol onto 200ml of 2 stroke oil in a fuel tank and

mix them both my shaking well.

Pouring in the petrol:

•Always unscrew the cap of the fuel tank (11) slowly so that any

pressure  and fuel fumes can escape without causing any danger.

•Use a funnel to pour in the 2-stroke mixture 40:1 and screw the cap

 tightly shut.

OPERATION

Start up with a cold engine:

•Place the device on firm ground so that you can use the starter

safely and with a firm hand. ( See fig 1 )

•Leave the ignition switch (1) on.

•Put the choke lever (2) up: (See Fig 2)

•Press the injector (3) 8-10 times. This injects fuel into

 the carburetter.

•Put one foot on the grip plate. Put one hand on the stirrup handle (9)

and press down the rocker switch (9)

•Pull the start cord (6) out until you feel slight resistance

(approx. 10cm) and pull it 4 times quickly and firmly until the end

of the cord is reached (See Fig 1)

•Pressing down the throttle control (5) quickly and firmly pull the start

cord (6) 4 times again until the end of the cord is reached.

•When the motor starts, after 10 seconds push the choke

 lever (2) up.

•If the motor doesn’t start repeat the start procedure.

Start up with a warm engine:

•Leave the ignition switch (1) on

•Leave the choke lever (2) on.

•Press the rocker switch (9) down.

•Quickly and firmly pull the start cord (6) 5-6 times to the end of the

cord (See Fig 1). If the motor doesn’t start, repeat the procedure

 for a cold start.

Switching off the engine:

•Let the motor return to idle without petrol.

•Press and keep the ignition switch (1) on 0

Working with the petrol hedge trimmer:

MAINTENANCE

•Use a damp cloth to clean the plastic parts. Do not use any

 detergents, solvents or pointed objects.

•Regularly use either a soft brush or paintbrush to rid the ventilation

ducts and moving parts from dust that has settled there.

•Regularly lubricate the blades and blade teeth

•Only use biologically degradable lubricants.

Cleaning the air filter

:

•Clean the air filter (10) after using the device for longer periods of

time. Dust and pollen block the pores of the foam filter (See Fig 5)

 and impair performance

•Take the cover off and wash the filter in a mild soapy water.

NOTE: Do not use petrol or solvents.

•Carefully dry the filter before using it again.

Checking the spark plug setting:

•Check the gap between the spark plug’s electrodes if the device

regularly starts up badly. The correct distance between the firing tip

and the center electrode is 0.63mm/0.25”.

•We recommend tightening up the spark plug with a torque wrench

using a tightening torque of 12-15Nm.

•Put the spark plug connector onto the spark plug correctly.

Setting the carburetter:

•The carburetter was adjusted to perform at its best when it was still

at the factory. If it becomes necessary to improve its setting, please

 contact a specialist.

STORAGE

So that the hedge trimmer will work again after a long period of non

use, you should observe the following:

•Empty the petrol tank. To do this, start the engine and let it run

until it reaches a standstill. Dispose of the remaining petrol in an

 environmentally friendly way.

•Let the engine cool and then take out the spark plug.

•Pour a small spoonful of 2-stroke mixture into the spark plug

opening and slowly pull the start cord (6) right through to the end

several times. This gets rid of small deposits of rust and lubricates

 the piston and cylinder.

•Check the spark plug and replace it if the firing tip has been burnt

 off too much.

•Keep the blade in a dry place - out of danger of fire.

Startup after longer periods of non use:

•Remove the spark plug.

•Quickly pull the start cord (6) right the way through several times in

order to remove oil and deposits in the engine compartment.

•Check spark plug, replace if necessary and screw in to position.

•Fill the petrol tank with the 2-stroke mixture 40:1.

•Start the device as described in section “Starting up

 with cold engine”

•When not in use, store your hedge trimmer professionally, the

blade guard can be fitted vertically on the wall.
