Never immerse the appliance in water and protect it from water spray or drip-
ping water.
■
The housing must only be cleaned with a soft damp cloth and a mild detergent.
■
Use a standard commercial limescale remover to remove limescale from the
appliance. You must also observe the manufacturer's information for your
limescale remover.
■
Unscrew the closure cap
,
for the water tank
. Fill the entire water tank
with limescale remover and let it act upon the limescale until it has been dissolved.
Pour out the limescale remover. Rinse the closure cap
,
and the water tank
with clean water.
■
Wipe off limescale deposits inside the base unit
with a damp cloth. It is par-
ticularly important to clean the heat converter
!
.

Remove the protective cap of the heating element
and wipe the heating ele-
ment
with a slightly damp cloth. Fit the protective cap back onto the heating
element
.
■
Remove the aroma pouch

from the tray

. Rinse the tray

under running
water. Hold the aroma pouch
1
under running water and squeeze it several
times to rinse it out. All parts must then be thoroughly dried.
Maintenance
Replacing the silver-ion ball filter
NOTE

The silver-ion ball filter
prevents the germs in the water from multiplying.
►
To prevent the silver-ion ball filter
from becoming ineffective, we recommend
replacing it annually.
►
