Private Call
This lets you hide or transmit your caller ID for individual outgoing calls. The possible options are:
Show Number
(your caller ID is transmitted; default control code: *31#)
Hide Number
(your caller ID is not transmitted; default control code: #31#)
After selecting the desired option, input the phone number you want to dial or select the desired
phonebook contact by pressing the right display button [3].
The phone number will be dialled as soon as you press the Dial button [11] or the right display button
[3].
The requirement for the Private Call feature is that your telephone provider must support it
with the default control codes.
SMS
This telephone lets you send and receive text messages (SMS). To be able to use this function, the
following requirements must be met:
Your phone line must have the Caller ID function enabled.
Landline SMS must be supported by your telephone provider.
Your telephone provider has enabled the sending and receiving of SMS messages for your
telephone line.
For more information, check with your telephone network provider.
In order to be able to send or receive SMS messages, a few settings have to be configured for your
telephone. For more information, see the chapter SMS Settings on page 134.
Write Message
Input the SMS message text via the numeric buttons [6]. Press the # button to toggle between upper
case/lower case letters. The currently selected input method will be indicated in the upper-right corner
of the display.
While typing an SMS text you can press the right display button [3] to choose from the following
options:
Send To
Input the phone number you want to send the message to or select the desired phonebook contact by
pressing the right display button [3].
Press the right display button [3] to send the message.
