Adjusting the grilling position; grilling food
You can use this grill in 3 different ways:
–
fully open so that both hotplates
q
can be used as a table grill.
–
with a movable upper hotplate
q
as a contact grill so that, for instance,
meat is grilled from both sides.
–
with a fixed upper hotplate
q
as a panini grill, for instance, for cooking
cheese-topped baguettes.
“Contact grill” position
1) Open the appliance lid and place the food you want to grill on the lower
hotplate
q
.
2) Close the appliance lid using the handle.
3) Thanks to the movable hinges of the upper hotplate
q
, it always lies paral-
lel to the lower hotplate
q
, even when grilling thicker foods. This guaran-
tees an optimal grilling result.
4) Check the browning of the grilled food after a short while and after the
timer has expired. To do this, open the appliance lid using the handle.
5) If you are satisfied with the level of browning, remove the food.
6) Press the On/Off button
6
, pull out the plug and allow the appliance
to cool down.
“Panini grill” position
1) Open the appliance lid and place the food you want to grill on the lower
hotplate
q
.
2) Close the upper hotplate
q
and lock it at the desired height by pushing the
safety catch
2
backwards (position MIN, II, III, IV, V). When adjusting the
safety catch
2
, lift the hot plate
q
a little bit. The further back you press
the safety catch
2
, the greater the distance between the hotplates
q
.
3) Check the browning of the grilled food after a short while and after the
timer has expired. To do this, open the appliance lid using the handle.
4) If you are satisfied with the level of browning, remove the food.
5) Press the On/Off button
6
, pull out the plug and allow the appliance to
cool down.
“Table grill” position
1) Fold out both feet
1
(fig. 1).
2) Press the unlocking button 180°
3
(fig. 1) and open the appliance lid
until both hotplates
q
can be used as a table grill.
