With poultry, it is particularly important to cook the meat thoroughly; other-
wise, there is an increased risk of salmonella and other bacteria. Therefore,
poultry should have a core temperature of at least 75°C or higher. Make
sure that the colour of the meat is whitish throughout. The setting options on
this appliance are variable, so that you can also set higher or lower core
temperatures, depending on your own taste. However, poultry should always
be eaten well-cooked.
Deep-frozen foods

Ideally, frozen food should be defrosted in the refrigerator. This is more
gentle on the food and reduces germ formation.

The liquid from thawed meat, poultry or fish may be contaminated with
germs. Take care to avoid contact with other foods during defrosting and
dispose of the thawed water hygienically.

Never refreeze thawed foods!

Process thawed foods the same day!
Before first use
1) Clean the appliance and all accessories as described in the section
“
Cleaning and care
” to remove any production residues.
2) Set up the appliance in accordance with the safety instructions.
3) Insert the plug into a mains power socket. You will hear a beep and “

appears on the display. The appliance is now in standby mode.
4) Press the On/Off button

and use the +/‒ buttons

to set the max-
imum temperature of 240°C. Allow the appliance to heat up for about 15
minutes.
NOTE
►
The first time the appliance heats up, a small amount of smoke and odour
may result from production-related residues. This is normal and is completely
harmless. Ensure sufficient ventilation; for example, by opening a window.
5) Press the On/Off button

to cool down.
6) Clean the appliance with a damp cloth and dry it off.
