Skin type sensor
On darker skin types, light-based hair removal may cause side effects such as
burns, blisters or skin color changes (hyper or hypopigmentation). To avoid
such side effects, the device has a unique skin type sensor that measures skin
pigmentation at the beginning of and during each session.
The sensor prevents the light pulse from being emitted if the skin is too dark to
be treated safely. The orange indicator light “Skin type warning/Light pulse
ready”
flashes quickly and the device does not emit any light pulse, even
if the button is pressed repeatedly.
