Chapter 4: Operating an Origin200 System
Contact Silicon Graphics or your local service provider for information on obtaining
these adapters. If you wish, you can build your own serial cables using the information
in Appendix B, “Cable Descriptions.”
Once you have obtained the correct adapter cable, follow these steps to connect the
computer and the Origin200 server:
1.
Make sure the Origin200 server is turned off.
2. Locate the serial cable that was shipped with your Origin200 server.
3. Attach the DB9 connector to serial port 1, as shown in Figure 4-6.
