5: Server BIOS Information
Baseboard Management Controller (BMC) manages the interface between system management
software and platform hardware. This is an informational feature which returns the status code of
the BMC micro controller.
View BMC System Event Log
This feature displays the BMC System Event Log (SEL). It shows the total number of entries of
BMC System Events. To view an event, select an Entry Number and press
<Enter>
to display
the information as shown in the example below:
• Total Number of Entries
SEL Entry Number
SEL Record ID
SEL Record Type
Timestamp, Generator ID
Event Message Format User
Event Sensor Type
Event Sensor Number
Event Dir Type
Event Data
Clear BMC System Event Log
This feature is used to clear the BMC System Event Log.
Caution: Any cleared information is unrecoverable. Make absolutely sure that you no longer
need any data stored in the log before clearing the BMC Event Log.
