6 REGULATION AND USE OF THE MACHINE
6.1 Checking And Setting
The cutting tool on the DELTA 2000 SA is used to cut the key blanks and must be periodically checked
and replaced.
Periodically, and whenever the cutting tool is replaced, check the key-cutting machine settings, to
ensure perfect machine efficiency.
6.2 Calibration
The DELTA 2000 SA key-cutting machine requires two types of calibration: axis and depth.
A
XIS CALIBRATION
Axis calibration is regulation of the space between the stop and the cuts (fig. 9).

The axis setting for the DELTA 2000 SA is fixed and is established on assembly in our workshops.

EPTH CALIBRATION
:
Depth calibration is regulation of the depths of the cuts (fig. 10).

Proceed as follows:
ATTENTION: disconnect the machine from the mains.
1) place the adjusting keys (provided) on the clamps (fig. 11).
2) check that the adjusting keys adhere properly to the clamps (fig. 11).
3) turn the calibration rod (F) towards the operator so that the gauges (G) come into contact with the
adjusting keys (fig. 11).
4) release the carriage by pushing the handle downwards, at the same time moving the carriage lever
(O) to the right (fig. 13).
5) raise the carriage and take it up to the tracer point and cutting tool.
6) take the adjusting keys into contact with the tracer point and cutting tool.
7) turn the cutting tool anticlockwise manually and check that it skims the adjusting keys in several plac-
es.
8) if necessary, regulate the cutting depth by means of the tracer point, as described below:
a) loosen the tracer point (H) locking screw (J).
b) turn the adjusting nut (I) clockwise to advance the tracer point.
c) turn the adjusting nut (I) anticlockwise to move the tracer point back.
9) repeat these operations until regulation is complete, then tighten the tracer point locking screw (J).
