Intended use
The VZ...AL is only intended to be used for measuring or metering oils and other viscous, lu-
bricating fluids in machines or systems.
WARNING! No safety component!
The gear wheel flow sensors of the series VZ...AL are not safety components in accord-
ance with Directive 2006-42-EC (Machine Directive).
Never use the VZ...AL as a safety component.
The operational safety of the device supplied is only guaranteed by intended use. The speci-
fied limits (
§ 9"About this operating manual") may under no circumstances be exceeded.
CAUTION! Material damage if not lubricated!
The construction of gear wheel flow sensors requires a certain lubricity of the measuring
fluid. Operation with non-lubricating media, e.g. water, leads to permanent damage to
the device!
Use the VZ...AL only with lubricating media.
The VZ...AL is not suitable for operation with water or similar fluids.
Before installing the device, check that the wetted materials of the device are compatible
with the media being used (
