TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION AND OPERATING MANUAL ST131 <PIRANHA II> and ST131N
51
When there is the radio pulse exceeding a predetermined threshold
level, it will be captured and displayed (Figure 46).
Localization of STM with RFPS transmission is
provided by using the "SCALE" sub-mode and selecting the peak-
hold detector with the maximum averaging factor, such as
"PEAKx32" or "PEAKx16". Technique is similar to finding signals
with a constant carrier frequency.
4.1.4.3
OPERATION IN “RADIO 4–18 GHz” CHANNEL
When selecting this channel display information will
correspond to fig. 47
Initially set indication threshold depending on current signals
level (background substraction) by pressing
.
When signal detected number of colored green segments,
indicating signal level with constant carrier frequency or moving of
signal red segment, indicating impulse signal level, will rise.
Numerical signal level values are indicated above level scale.
For visual assessment of detected signals and measurement go to «OSCILOGRAPH» option by
pressing
(see 3.7)
- dynamic range indication selection (30 or 60Db on full scale).
- averaged signal selection (see appendix 1)
If «OVERLOAD» sign appear it means presence of signal, exceeding maximum input signal (see 2.2.1).
In this channel sound control of dectected signal is provided.
It must be noted that in given frequency range, in urban area, prevail ISM 5.6GHz signals,
radiation from security sensors and fire alarms.
4.1.4.4 OPERATION IN “RADIO 0.1-30 MHz” CHANNEL.
With this range, screen information will correspond to the FULL RANGE mode.
In general, the sequence of use of modes corresponds to the "RADIO 30-4400 MHz" channel.
When using ST131 as a panoramic analyzer set central panorama frequency on radio receiving
device. Sight band can be seen from specifications of radio receiving device.
Values of intermediate frequencies should be in range of selected channel.
