Removal of a rotor
• Unscrew the rotor tie-down screw (counter-clockwise) and remove the
rotor with the lid.
• Open the lid by turning it counter-clockwise and remove the lid.

Installation of the microhaematocrit rotor
• Open the centrifuge lid by pressing the lid key.
• Replace the rotor tie-down screw with the rotor tie-down screw of the
microhaematocrit rotor (part no. 81543, included in the scope of supply
of the microhaematocrit rotor), and tighten it loosely.
• Lower the rotor with its central bore straight down onto the motor shaft.
• Tighten the rotor tie-down screw clockwise with 3 Nm using the supplied
rotor wrench. In doing so, hold the microhaematocrit rotor with one hand
and tilt it slightly in order to prevent the motor shaft from slipping
through.
• Check the rotor for a correct and tight fit.
• Follow the safety instructions and hazard warnings (see chapter 3 -
CAUTION
Please consider the maximum permissible gravitational field of 12,000 x g.
An excess gravitational field will result in an increased risk of glass
breakage!
