Wireless Room Sensor Solution
Point Status
For P1 TECs, the following point status values for the ROOM TEMP and RM STPT DIAL points at the
TEC are used:
•
NORMAL–the TEC RTS port is connected to an RSX device.
•
FAILED–the TEC RTS port is not connected to an RSX device.
For BACnet MS/TP TECs, the following point status values for the ROOM TEMP, RM STPT DIAL, and
DI OVRD points at the TEC are used:
•
NORMAL—the TEC RTS port is connected to an RSX device, but the RSX has not commanded
the point.
•
OUT OF SERVICE—the TEC RTS port is connected to an RSX device, and the RSX has
commanded the point.
Input points like ROOM TEMP, RM STPT DIAL, and DI OVRD SW need to be placed into
OUT OF SERVICE before they are commanded/overriden in BACnet.
•
FAILED—the TEC RTS port is not connected to an RSX device.
Diagnostic Points (Communication Status and Battery Voltage)
Point 99 in the TEC is commanded by the RSX to indicate a WRS Low Battery Condition or a WRS/RSX
Wireless Communication Failure as follows:
Table 7. TEC Point 99 Error Status Settings.
Point 99 Value
Bit Set to “1”
Indication
4
2
WRS/RSX Communication Failure
8
3
WRS Low Battery Condition
12
2,3
WRS/RSX Communication Failure (Bit 2)
and
WRS Low Battery
Condition (Bit 3)
Point 99 can be set to trigger an alarm if its value is non-zero. Note that other bit settings on the ERROR
STATUS point 99 are set internally by the TEC, but are typically zero for operational TEC hardware.
