● Protect the device from direct sunlight.
● Make sure that the maximum permissible ambient temperature is not exceeded. Refer to
the information in Operating conditions (Page 52).

Mounting location
● Ideally, mount device so that face of transducer is at least 300 mm (1 ft) above the highest
anticipated material level.

● Ambient temperature within –40 to +80 °C (–40 to +176 °F)
● Process temperature within –40 to +85 °C (–40 to +185 °F)
● Environment suitable to the housing rating and materials of construction
● Sound path perpendicular to the material surface
● Display and local buttons easily accessible for programming
● Cable entries easily accessible for wiring
● Sufficient room to open device lid with clear access
● Mounting surface free from vibration
● Place for a laptop computer provided for on-site configuration (optional, as laptop not
required for configuration)
NOTICE
Device rotation
The device can be rotated separate from the process connection.
● There is no limit to the number of times device can be rotated without damage.
