Installation

Avoid electrostatic charging (e.g. do not rub dry):

Of enclosure and antenna

Of connecting cable

Of special version with pushbuttons (if present)

If electrostatic charging is avoided (e.g. through friction, cleaning, maintenance,
high flow of process medium): WirelessHART adapter can be used in gas groups
IIC and IIB.
●
WirelessHART adapter: label with warning "Avoid electrostatic charging".
●
Observe the directives for connecting intrinsically-safe circuits.
●
To retain the degree of protection of the enclosure:
–
Screw the cover tight.
–
Mount the cable entry appropriately.
●
Following alignment of the enclosure (rotating): tighten the locking screw again.
●
Protect the connecting cable between the WirelessHART adapter and the field
device against tension and friction (e.g. electrostatic charging resulting from flow
of process medium).
