Connecting the TS Adapter IE 

Connecting to the PC 

Direct connection of the TS Adapter IE to the PC is only required for configuring the 

TS Adapter IE. 
1.

 

Plug the Ethernet cable into the Ethernet port on the TS Adapter IE. 

2.

 

Plug the other end of the Ethernet cable into the Ethernet port X1 on your PC or to a 

switch.  

 

NOTICE 

 

 

If you confuse the Ethernet connector with the ISDN connector, the TS Adapter IE will 

malfunction. 
Make sure the Ethernet cable is connected only to the Ethernet port.  

 

Connecting to the automation system 

1.

 

Plug the Ethernet cable into the Ethernet port on the TS Adapter IE. 

2.

 

Plug the other end of the Ethernet cable into the Ethernet port on your CPU or to a 

switch. 

Connecting to 24 V DC 

Wire the supplied 24V power plug and plug it into the TS Adapter IE. 

 

 

Note 
Make sure the 24V supply cable is protected suitably for its cross-section.
