Configuration
Function
After selecting one of the packages “DP-5412/MS-DOS, Windows”,
“FMS-5412/MS-DOS, Windows” or “S7-5412/MS-DOS, Windows” you
can call the function “Configuration” in the “Edit” menu of SINEC
Setup.
The modifications you make with these functions will only
become effective after you reboot your computer.
What Does
Configuration
Mean?
During configuration, you create or edit a database required to operate
the selected system.
The database contains a local description of your system. It is
referenced by system routines in the connection establishment phase.
Configuration
Tools
You configure a system for the various software packages using
configuration tools (COM PROFIBUS and COML S7). Working with the
tools is described in context-sensitive help systems. For more detailed
information, refer to the corresponding manuals.
Configuration under DOS is not possible!
