Place the card slot key in the OMM
edge connector for the PLC-4 as shown
in Figure 3. See Figure 4 for the exact
location of the key for this module. The
key prevents installation of any other
card type in the PLC-4 slot. Two other
keys already installed in the OMM
prevent reverse installation of the card
in the OMM edge connectors. (See
Figure 4.)

c. Place the card in its card edge connector

correctly. The components on the board
must face the 22 position terminal block
where the wiring is terminated. Press
the card firmly in place to be sure it is
seated properly in the edge connector.

CAUTION

At all times handle all plug-in cards with ex-
treme care. When inserting or removing a
card, be sure the position of the card is kept
at right angles to the OMM board. Otherwise,
the plug-in card can damage or displace
other components.

Wiring

(Refer to Figure 5)

All wiring must comply with

national and local codes.

Dress the leads properly. Maintain the proper
routing and distances between the wiring that is
power limited (terminals 15 - 22) and wiring that
is not power limited (terminals 1 - 8). Refer to
the

MME-3 or MLE-6 Power Limited Wiring

Instructions,

 P/N 315-094883 or P/N 315-

094970, as applicable, for further information.

When wiring for strobe cards:

• Connect OMM, terminals 11 and 12, to the

OCC-1 terminal block, terminals 15 and 16
respectively, for supervision of strobe
power.

• Route these wires with the power limited

wires.
