4.2 Log in / Change access level

WARNING

Logout
To prevent unauthorized access to the fire detection system, you must always log

out after working on the FT2080. See Log out / Block access level [➙ 82].

You can enable an 'Access level' by entering your 'PIN' in the PIN entry dialog

window. Alternatively you can use the key switch (optional) to release an Access

level.
If you press a key on the Person Machine Interface whose function requires a

higher 'Access level', the PIN entry dialog window is displayed automatically.
Without an 'Access level', the Access level 1' is enabled after executing the PIN

entry dialog window.

Enabling 'Access level' without a PIN

It makes no sense to use the 'Login/logout' without entering a PIN, since 'Access

level 1' is retained. All buttons on the general toolbar (GTB) re-open the PIN entry

dialog window.

An 'Access level' is not enabled.

1. Press any button except 'Login/logout' on the general toolbar (GTB).

The PIN entry dialog window called 'Login/logout' opens.

2. Press 'Enter'.
