Installation
Every site is unique and circumstances differ. However the following recommenda-
tions will help in achieving the best result.
All Bewator Entro components including RF30-EM and RF9 are supplied with spe-
cific installation instructions.
8.1 Before you start
Ensure that all components to be used are compatible with each other, e.g. that
compatible software and firmware versions are installed throughout (although
some parts of this are detected by the program).
Assess if some older Segment controllers must be replaced by SR35i and/or any
SR34i must be updated.
Ensure that installation information is available (especially unit addresses).
Have the
Bewator Entro Installer manual
and
User manual
at hand.
Read
Appendix A
regarding considerations for RF communication.
Have a temporary power source (e. g. a battery) available for any RF9 if needed.
8.2 Power supply
Ensure that the power supply is stable and within the rated voltage of the unit. Use
an uninterrupted power supply (UPS) to ensure a continuous function of the unit in
the event of power dips on the mains supply.
8.3 Mounting
Whether starting from scratch or extending an existing site, the methods are simi-
lar.
If a new site is to include both hard-wired and wireless doors, it is preferable to
plan, install and verify the hard-wired doors first.
An SR35i intended to provide any wireless control must be positioned for the
strongest possible signal strength. This over-rides wiring considerations.
