Installation
Install
Start by installing the detector base and the detector:
1.
Open the housing by disengaging at the top and turning
anticlockwise by 30°.
2.
Mount the detector base in the housing. Connect the
detector base in accordance with the connection
diagram (Fig. 10).
3.
Insert the detector and close the housing.
Observe the following when installing the air sampling
smoke detection kit:
1.
Determine the exact installation site. Follow the
instructions for circular and rectangular ducts in Fig. 3
and Fig. 4. The mounting bracket (Fig. 6, 8, [2]) is
required for uneven, round or insulated ducts.
2.
Drill the holes in the duct for the air flow tube as
stipulated in the "Drilled holes in duct" table.
3.
The air flow tube must be inserted at least 100 mm into
the duct without jacketing and must be shortened as
shown in Fig. 6 or Fig. 8. Always seal the air flow tube
from below with the end plug.
4.
Secure the air flow tube in the housing with the supplied
short screw 4.2 x 9.5 mm.
5.
Fit the top rubber seal:
-
Cover gasket for installation without mounting bracket
(Fig. 7, 9 [1])
-
Rubber bushing for installation with the mounting
bracket (Fig. 6, 8 [3])
In thick ducts, insert the rubber bushing into the duct from
below (Fig. 8, 9 [3]).
6.
Mount the air sampling housing so that the air flows in
the direction indicated by the arrow on the cover, i.e. the
detector is directed against the direction of the air flow
(Fig. 6).
7.
Secure the air sampling housing with 3 screws
4.2 x 25 mm directly on the duct or on the mounting
bracket.
8.
The air flow tube protruding from the rubber bushing at
the bottom of the duct must be sealed with the jacket
tube (Fig. 8, 9 [4]).

Connection
1.
Connect the air sampling smoke detector kit to the
detector line. Comply with the different connection
diagrams shown in Fig. 10 for the different detector
lines.
2.
Connect the shields of the stripped cables as shown in
the connection diagram (Fig. 10).
