2.4 Final installation work
2.4.1 Checking the HV connections
Check all the HV cables connected for
• Tightness of bolts using a torque wrench.
• Earthing of cable sealing end.
• Core spacing on three -core cables and for correct fitting
of anti-magnetic clips on single-core cables.
2.4.2 Checking the bolted joints
• Check the bolted joints on the units at random using a
torque wrench.
• Check the auxiliary cable connections:
of switching devices (at random), on terminal blocks
(all); make sure that all the terminal blocks are provided
with marking tags; replace any missing tags by reference
to the circuit diagram. (if missing)
2.4.3 Cleaning the switchpanel
Clean all the bushing using a soft, non-linting dry rag.
2.4.4 Inserting the withdrawable units (see 3.4.1.3)
2.4.5 Checking the protection against environmental
influences
a) Housing of the switchgear
Front parts of the panel are painted with epoxy resin
powder coating (RAL 7032).
b) For switchpanels to be used in climates with warm moist
temperatures apply a new coat of anti-corrosion agent if
it has been removed from the galvanized sheets during
installation.
2.5 Putting the switchgear into service
2.5.1 Setting the vacuum contactors (altitude f site)
In the Adjusting event of deviations from the altitude of
site set in the works (-200m to+1250m),readjust the
contactor through the cutouts in the right-hand side of the
withdrawable unit (6,Fig.17)
• Press in the two setting elements with a screwdriver.
• Adjust the actual altitude of site as indicated on the
label.
2.5.2 Trial operation
Perform a trial operation of each switchpanel:
• Move the withdrawable unit into the disconnected
position. (see Section 3.2.1)
• Close all the auxiliary and control voltage circuits.
• Apply the plug-connectors of the LV cables.
• Close and open the vacuum contactor several times.

2.3.3 Connecting the LV cables
Remove the vertical covers f the cable duct on front left in
the withdrawable unit compartment from the
side/partition wall. For this purpose remove the fixing bolts
(Fig.12). Run the LV cables on the left-hand side of each
panel, enter the cable into the LV cubicle and connect it
there. Fix the LV cables to the support plates (1,2Fig.13)
using cable connectors. Two rows of rectangular cutouts
are provided to the holding plates.
