Commissioning
Note: The CC–S
0
is delivered with the jumper settings “X.21”
and “64 kBit/s”.
Open the CC–S
0
q
Disconnect the auxiliary supply voltage from both poles.
q
Open the CC–S
0
. To open the device, you must undo all six cover screws with a
screwdriver.
Configuring the CC–S
0
The CC–S
0
is configured via jumpers. The slots of the jumpers can be seen in Figure 27.
The factory setting is shown.
q
Selecting the interface:
Set the jumper X30 in accordance with the interface type selected for communication:
X30 in position 1–2
for interface X.21,
X30 in position 2–3
for interface G703.1.
q
Selecting the transmission speed:
With the jumpers for X20, X22, X24 and X26, set the transmission speed necessary for
communication (see table 10). Only one slot can be occupied at any one time.
Note: In the operating mode G703.1, the jumper must be set to X20, since there is only
one transmission rate for it (64 kBit/s). The transmission rate parameterized in the
protection device for the active interface and the corresponding jumper position
have to correspond to each other.
DANGER!
Before opening the CC–S
0
, it is absolutely necessary to isolate it
from the auxiliary supply voltage at all poles! Energized parts pose
a potentially lethal hazard!
