Under normal circumstances, it is necessary to clean the dust filter once or twice every year or
whenever the flow of air diminishes. The filter may be cleaned by washing (i.e. gentle washing by
hand using a grease-dispersing detergent – do not use a washing machine). The filter should be
replaced every five years.
If a pollen- or activated carbon filter is used in the equipment, this filter should be replaced every
year.
These filters must not be washed
. To acquire new filters or advice as to where they
can be purchased apply to SIEGENIA-AUBI.
– To change the filter, switch off the device. Pull out the mains power plug from the socket and also
the plug from the device.
– Turn the screwed fitting in the base of the housing by means of the internal hexagonal key
provided with the unit
(Fig. 1/A)
.
– The hood of the AEROPAC is equipped with a spring-actuated lock, so that the appliance can
be opened easiliy for a filter change. Simply pull on the lower edge of the hood and fold it up
to the front
(Fig. 2)
.
– The filter sits loosely on the ventilator cage and is secured by two plastic hooks
(Fig. 3/A)
. Take
hold of the two ends of the filter in the general area of the electric lead socket
(Fig. 3/B)
and
withdraw the filter from the ventilator cage.
– Insert the new filter inside the unit.
Notice
: If you are replacing a pollen filter this has one sur-
face with fine pores and one surface with coarse pores. Be sure to lay the filter mat down so that
the face with the coarse pores is in contact with the ventilator cage.
– Place the housing lid against the unit at a slight angle. Press the lid firmly against the housing
until the snap closure locks into position.
– If children have access to the appliance, we recommend that the hexagon screw is left in the
safety device of the hood.
