If no dimensions can be calculated, this may be because the system parameterization
does not match the physical conditions.
▸
Check the
trigger control
settings in the MSC800. The trigger must be set to
Active Low
.
▸
Check whether the
encoder parameters
entered for the MSC800 are consistent with
the VMC800 parameters.
▸
Check the configuration of the
master LMS
. The master LMS must receive the encoder
signal.
Check that the
time stamp
has been activated.

Optimizing the measurement results
If necessary, the measurement results can be optimized even further.
The length measurement (x-coordinate) is adjusted by changing the encoder resolution in
the
Encoder Resolution
field under
ALISDIM
Parameter
Increment Configuration
.
•
If the measurement result is greater than the actual length value, reduce the resolution
(e.g., by 0.05 mm).
•
If the measurement result is smaller, increase the resolution accordingly.
The width measurement is adjusted by changing the y-coordinate for the volume
measurement devices under
ALISDIM
Parameter
External Sensors
.
•
If the measurement result is smaller than the actual width value,
reduce
the
Y coordinate of
Sensor 1
and
increase
the Y coordinate of
Sensor 2
.
•
If the measurement result is greater, do the opposite.
▸
NOTE!
Adjust the two sensors symmetrically by decreasing or increasing the
Y coordinate of each by the same value.
▸
When adding/subtracting, pay attention to the signs of the Y coordinates.
The width measurement is adjusted by changing the Z coordinate for the volume
measurement devices under
ALISDIM
Parameter
External Sensors
.
•
If the measurement result is smaller than the actual height value,
reduce
the
Z coordinates of
both sensors
by the same value.
•
If the measurement result is greater,
increase
the Z coordinate.
