Mounting requirements
▸
Use a stable frame that is secured to prevent twisting and has sufficient load-bearing
capacity.
▸
Attach the frame to the conveying system in such a way that it cannot shake or vibrate.
▸
Align the frame at a right angle to the conveying direction.
NOTE! Use Item aluminum profiles.
Fig. 15: Requirements for mounting the 2D LiDAR sensors
The 2D LiDAR sensors are mounted on the right and left above the conveying
equipment in such a way that it is free of vibrations and oscillations.
The smallest permissible distance of the measuring object from the zero point of
the 2D LiDAR sensors is 900 mm.
The zero point is marked on both the upper and lower side of the housing of the
2D LiDAR sensors.
▸
Make sure that the 2D LiDAR sensors have a clear view of the conveying equipment.
▸
Mount the incremental encoder - if possible - in the immediate vicinity of the scan line
of the 2D LiDAR sensors.
The 2D LiDAR sensors must be far enough away from bends, induction lines, start/stop
areas, areas with upward and downward slopes, and breaks in the conveying system.
No side guards are to be mounted in the vicinity of the scan lines.
