EDS
TEXT
ELEMENT
in output format / element output format
This option can be used if you intend for data from an external device such as a
weighing
scale
to be
joined
with the sensor data. This allows the reading result and the external data
to be sent to the host
in a string
.
For this to take place, the external data must be received by the sensor
while the reading
gate is open
. If the sensor does not receive any data during the reading gate interval, a de-
fault text is sent so that the host is aware that no data has been received. It makes the most
sense to use this option with data output at the PSDI end.
The EDS text element can be positioned freely as a variable in its output format and can be
formatted by double-clicking on a fixed length.
The output takes place at
all configured interfaces
, including the fieldbus interfaces.
