Electrical connection and programming of an encoder with analogue output
Connect electrical encoder according to circuit diagram (current output/voltage output). Encoder is
already calibrated by the manufacturer. A zero calibration can be carried out by moving the encoder (2).
For this please untighten mounting screws (11) slightly, adjust position of encoder (2). After adjusting
procedure screws of clip fixing have to be re-tightened. Steepness (rising) of output signal will not
change (Auxiliary material - setscrew wrench SW 2.5). There is the possibility to assign initial position
and final position to initial value (0V and 4mA respectively) as well as to final value (10V and 20mA
respectively) via programming keyboard. (See example) *).
Programming instructions**):
1.
Program mode “on”
- 2x press quickly red ( R; R )
1.1. output signal reverse (20 – 4 mA)
(optional possibility)
– press quickly 1x red ( R )
2.
turn encoder in initial position
1
- program 0%
- press quickly 1x left ( 0% )
3.
turn encoder in final position
2
- program 100%
- press quickly 1x right ( 100% )
4.
Programming mode “off”
– press quickly 2x red ( R; R )
output signal 4 – 20 mA

If the programming was done incorrectly you can reset all settings. After resetting the encoder the
programming must be repeated.
1.
Programming mode “on”
– press quickly 2x red ( R; R )
2.
Press the red button for approx. 3s, the program mode will end automatically
