Mounting an encoder of size
60mm
Mounting accessories for encoder mounting are included in delivery. A max. starting torque of 2,0 Ncm
should not be exceeded. Rotary encoder may be mounted on both sides.
Mounting order:
x
Put shaft adapter with feather key (3) as far as possible on driving shaft of encoder and fix it by
means of headless screw (4).
Caution! Shaft adapter may not grind axially at wire draw
mechanism casing!
(Auxiliary material - setscrew wrench SW 0.9)
x
Insert encoder shaft to hub of wire drum of wire draw mechanism (1)
x
Fasten encoder (2) at wire draw mechanism via clamps (5) and screws (6). (Auxiliary material -
setscrew wrench SW 3)
x
Caution! Please check whether the mounted system can be easily moved by slight drawing-out
at wire ferrule
!!! Caution !!!
When mounting the wire draw mechanism it can sometimes happen that the wire drum is
twisted axially at plastic casing due to a tight shaft-hub fit. An axial twisting of cable
drum reduces functionality!
In case a stiffness is found out, mounting screws (6) have to be unscrewed before wire return.
Wire should be drawn in not until then. In order to ensure a perfect function cable drum has to
be released axially. For this please tighten fastening screws (6) and move cable drum by using
an auxiliary tool (mandrel or similar) at rear (bearing side) slightly in direction to wire draw
mechanism . Please recheck draw wire system with respect to free movement.
x
Apply end plate (7) at rear and fix it via caution label (8).

Non-observance may reduce return pull of spring motor and
destroy the wire draw mechanism!
On delivery of BCG series the analogue encoder is already mounted.
