3.3 System Memory Configuration
The AK38/N or AK39/N mainboard has four 184-pin DIMM slots that allow
you to install from 64MB up to 3GB of system memory.
Each 184-pin DIMM (Dual In-line Memory Module) Slot can accommodate
64MB, 128MB, 256MB, 512MB, and 1GB of PC1600/PC2100/PC2700/
PC3200 compliant 2.5V single or double side 64-bit wide data path DDR
SDRAM modules.
Install Memory:
Install memory in any or all of the slots and in any combination shown as
follows.
DDR SDRAM
N o t e : You do not need to set any jumper to configure memory since the
BIOS utility can detect the system memory automatically. You can
check the total system memory value in the BIOS Standard CMOS
Setup menu.
Upgrade Memory:
You can easily upgrade the system memory by inserting additional DDR
SDRAM modules in available DIMM slots. The total system memory is calcu-
lated by simply adding up the memory in all DIMM slots. After upgrade, the
new system memory value will automatically be computed and displayed in
the field " Standard CMOS Setup" of BIOS setup program.
