ICMP detection function application
Scene presentation
The H7960 router provides ICMP detection function, technically speaking, ICMP is an
"error detection and reporting mechanism, and it can be used to detect whether the
network link is in false connection status, the host is reachable, and the routing is
available. For example: for the abnormal case, the modem IP of working dial-up link can
be obtained for some reason, but the actual link is a false connection, which can be
detected using ICMP to detect the network link, the predefined actions can be performed
when an anomaly is detected, so as to realize the rapid recovery for the link or system, in
order to ensure the accuracy and reliability of network link.
Parameter configuration
In this scenario, you need to have the ICMP detection configuration, and the configuration
step, see the section ICMP detection, configure as shown in figure 5 -1.
