Copy paper image position adjustment
(Operation/procedure)
When this simulation is executed, the machine performs warm-up and the currently set value is displayed on the
COPY QUANTITY display.
There are two sets of set values (A, B). Every time when the density select key is pressed, the set density is
switched.
When the exposure level is set to 1 in set value A, the lead edge void adjustment value is displayed on the copy
quantity display. When the exposure level is set to 5, the rear edge void adjustment value is displayed.
Enter the set value with the numerical key, and press the copy key to store the entered value and make a copy.
Press the clear key to store the entered value and terminate the simulation.
When the set value is increased by 1, the void amount is increased by 0.176 mm.
In this mode, the adjustment can be performed by ignoring the rear edge void NO setting in the simulation.

Set value B
Set both set values A and B to 0, make copies at 70% and 141%, measure the shift between the copy lead edge and
the copy image. Enter the value to the formula below to obtain the set values of A, B, and C.
L1 = Shift between the paper lead edge and the copy image in 141% copy [mm]
L2 = Shift between the paper lead edge and the copy image in 70% copy [mm]
A = 11.545 (L1

L2)
"A" corresponds to the time from start of the scanner unit to reaching the original lead edge image position.
If this value is not proper, a variation my be caused between the copy image lead edge and the paper lead edge in
some copy magnification ratios.
B = 11.284

L2 – 5.602

L1
"B" corresponds to the time from start of the scanner unit to reaching the optical original lead edge reference position
and turning on the resist roller (RRC).
This set value relates to the timing of paper feed for the image position on the drum and the relative positions of the
paper and the image position. When this value is increased, the transport timing is delayed.

Used to adjust the contact pressure between the resist roller and paper.
The set value is adjusted when the paper and image positions are varied.
