<<Lead edge image loss adjustment procedure>>
1
Place a scale on the center of the document table and attach it
with adhesive tape.
2
Turn off the power and remove the sensor cover in the paper exit
side.
3
Short JP-210 and JP211 on the main PWB, and turn on the
power.
4
When the misfeed indicator blinks, turn VR202 more than 2 steps
so the misfeed indicator stays on constantly, and perform the
adjustment.
5
Press the copy exposure key.
6
Make a copy.
7
Check the copy to be in the specified range (1
∼
5mm).
When the adjustment value is outside the specified range, repeat the
procedure from (4).
2. Exposure adjustment
The exposure adjustment is required in the following cases:
•
When replacing the drum unit.
•
When replacing the main PWB.
•
When replacing the EEPROM.
•
When replacing the copy lamp PWB.
•
When replacing the AE sensor.
@
When performing the exposure adjustment, set the auto exposure
correction mode to the standard mode. For the procedure, refer to
[2] OPERATION PANEL AND DISPLAY FUNCTIONS, 3. Display
section.
@
When performing the exposure adjustment, clean the AE sensor
light receiving section and the reflector.
The simulation for the exposure adjustment is the same simulation for
the lead edge adjustment. Refer to the flowchart of the lead edge
adjustment.
