Food not listed in the Guide can be defrosted m anually using 30% (M ED LOW) pow er level.
NOTE
1. When freezing m inced m eat, shape it into flat even sizes.
2. For chicken pieces, steaks and chops, freeze separately in single flat layers and if necessary
interleave w ith freezer plastic to separate layers. This w ill ensure even defrosting.
3. It is also a good idea to label the packs w ith the correct w eights.
4. A ceram ic plate can be used for defrosting m eat instead of the defrost rack (buy separately).

Chicken Pieces
• Shield thin end of chops or steaks w ith foil.
• Position the food w ith thinner parts in the
centre in a single layer on the defrost rack.
If pieces are stuck together, try to separate
as soon as possible.
• When oven has stopped, rem ove defrost-
ed pieces, turn over and shield the w arm
portions.
• Press start to continue defrosting.
• After defrost tim e, stand covered w ith alu-
m inium foil for 5-30 m inutes.
• Place frozen m inced m eat on a defrost
rack. Shield edges.
• When oven has stopped, rem ove defrost-
ed portions, turn over and shield edges
w ith foil strips.
• Press start to continue defrosting.
• After defrost tim e, stand covered w ith alu-
m inium foil for 5-30 m inutes.
• Shield the edge w ith foil strips about 2.5cm
w ide.
• Place joint w ith lean side face upw ards (if
possible) on the defrost rack.
• When oven has stopped, turn over and
shield the w arm portions.
• Press start to continue defrosting.
• After defrost tim e, stand covered w ith alu-
m inium foil for 10-30 m inutes.
• Rem ove from original w rapper.
• Place breast side dow n on the defrost rack.
• When oven has stopped, turn over and
shield the w arm portions such as w ings
and leg tips w ith foil.
• Press start to continue defrosting.
• After defrost tim e, stand covered w ith alu-
m inium foil for 15-60 m inutes.
N.B. After standing run under cold w ater
to rem ove giblets if necessary.
• Place chicken pieces on the defrost rack.
• When oven has stopped, rem ove defrost-
ed pieces, turn over and shield the w arm
portions.
• Press start to continue defrosting.
• After defrost tim e, stand covered w ith alu-
m inium foil for 5-30 m inutes.
