Text (SMS)
About Text Messaging
The Short Message Service (SMS) allows you to send
text messages of up to 1024 characters to other GSM
users.
To Use SMS with Your Phone
Messages longer than 160 characters may be
composed. During sending, the messages are split. If
the receiver has a suitable phone the messages
recombines during reception, if not your message
appears as a number of separate 152 characters
messages.
You can send or receive SMS even if you are talking on
the phone.
You can also use Text Templates to help you compose
SMS.
Creating a New SMS
1.
Press

during standby.

select.

Enter your message, then press

Enter the phone number of the recipient, then press

If you wish to select the phone number in the
Contacts List, search for the desired Contacts List
entry.

to display the Contacts List. Then

The phone begins the sending process and the SMS
is sent. After the message has been sent, the
message is added to the Sent box.
