MAINTENANCE
ADDING nylon cord
1. When replacing the cord, use a diameter of 0.095
"(2.4 mm). On the coil head of diameter 4 ", it is possible
to retract to 20 feet (8 meters). Avoid using long lines.
Can reduce the power cut.
WARNING
For safety reasons, do not use wire-reinforced
cord.
2. Clamp the grooved area on both sides of the coil
housing and unhook the bottom cap.
3. Remove the spool and pull the rest of the old lines.
Wind new cord so that the cord is half of 4.7 "(12 cm)
shorter than the other. Then turn the bent end of the cord
into the groove of the coil.
Wind fourth cord in the correct direction, as shown on
the bobbin.
5. Insert each end of the cord into the groove on the
spool ends. Then thread the ends through the loop coil
housing. Make sure that the spring and pads are fitted
correctly.
6th While holding the spool against the housing, pull the
line ends to release them from the slot.
7. Align the slot on the bottom cap with the hook on the
cover, push the lid against the cap until it clicks.
WARNING
Before performing any maintenance on the
equipment, make sure the engine is off and
cool.
Contact with rotating cutting head or hot
muffler
can cause injury.
AIR FILTER
• The air filter, if clogged, reducing engine performance.
Check and clean the filter in hot, soapy water, if
necessary. Before installing it properly dry. If the filter is
damaged or sunken, replace it with a new one.
FUEL FILTER
• If the fuel supply to the engine is insufficient, check for
possible blockage of the fuel cap and the fuel filter
.
