clockwise at the same time.
- Fill the empty water reservoir, using the
measuring cup provided, with max. 1.2
litres of water. When refilling the
reservoir while the boiler is still hot, we
recommend using hot water. This will
help to reduce the build-up of steam,
and also prevent hot water from
splashing out during filling.
- Replace the cap on the filler hole.
- Once the water has been used up during
ironing, the water-level warning light
starts flashing. Switch off the boiler and
the iron itself. Keep the steam jet button
pressed until no further steam is emitted.
Allow the unit to cool down before
refilling.
Steam control button
The steam control button allows for variable
steam output control.
●
Steam ironing requires high
temperatures. The temperature level for
steam ironing is indicated on the
temperature control knob.
Ironing
●
The steam jet function is available only
after the water reservoir has been filled
with water and the boiler is switched on.
- Place the iron on its rest on the steam
generator and insert the plug into a
suitable wall socket.
- Set the temperature control knob to the
required ironing temperature as
indicated by the ironing symbols.
- Switch on the boiler and the steam iron
using the respective On/Off switches.
- While the iron is heating up, the indicator
lamp on the iron will be on. The lamp
will go out once the temperature
required for ironing has been reached.
- While the boiler is heating up the water,
the integral lamp in the boiler On/Off
switch will be lit. Once the temperature
required for generating steam has been
reached, the ‘steam ready’ indicator light
will also light up.
●
Before ironing any fabrics, the soleplate
should be cleaned by passing it over an
old, clean cotton cloth, while using the
steam jet function; this helps to flush out
any dirt residues or lint particles trapped
inside the openings in the soleplate.
●
For dry ironing, the water reservoir may
be empty. In this case, the boiler should
not be switched on.
●
Once the water has been used up during
ironing, the water-level warning light
starts flashing. Switch off the boiler and
the iron. Keep the steam jet button
pressed until no further steam is emitted.
Allow the unit to cool down before
refilling.
●
Replace the iron on its rest on the steam
generator after use, and remove the plug
from the wall socket.
Steam jet
When the steam jet button is depressed, jets
of steam are emitted through the openings in
the soleplate. This function can be very
useful when removing stubborn creases or
when ironing difficult or thick fabrics.
The steam jet function may also be used
with the iron held vertically, to remove
creases or wrinkles from fabrics.
For extended steam output, push the slide
control towards the handle while keeping
the steam jet button depressed.
To unlock the slide-control again, push it
forwards.
