INFORMATION
!
Before use of the luminaire, the protective foil on
the front screen is to be removed.
For luminaires with integrated BATTERY
INFORMATION!
The battery is partly charged when delivered.
Charging takes place after the commissioning of the
luminaire. The full lighting duration is only available
after it is fully charged. Please refer to the listed
charging duration in the technical data.
Handling
By connecting the supply line to the supply network,
the luminaire is in the operating state. For the con-
nection of further electric devices, the Schuko
®
socket
integrated in the cap is to be used.
INFORMATION!
The additional socket may differ from the version
portrayed here in type and version.
ATTENTION!
Please implicitly consider the information for the
socket (yellow label) which is located at the housing
side in immediate proximity of the socket.
WARNING! Electrical current!
Connectors with IP67 have a bayonet system. For
achieving the IP code, you will have to close the
bayonet rings properly.
Generally, without properly closed bayonet rings,
you only achieve IP44 (protection against splashing
water and solid objects with at least 1mm).
Dimmable version
A button is integrated into the cap for the dimming.
By pressing and holding of the button, the desired
brightness is achieved. The adjusted value is retained
after the luminaire is switched on / off.

Functionality
The versions with battery come with an integra-
ted emergency light feature. For the power grid
operation, as well as the activation of the emergency
light feature, the switch has to be in the ON (lower)
position. In the case of a power failure, it switches to
battery operation. Lighting duration and brightness in
the battery mode are dependent on the version (see
technical data).
When the switch is in the OFF position, the lighting
function is deactivated, both in the normal and in the
battery operation.
Charging of the battery takes place in the power grid
operation and is independent from the switch posi-
tion. The ALDEBARAN
®
Profiline LED with integrated
battery has an emergency light feature. Through the
emergency light feature, the luminaire is automati-
cally switched to battery operation in the case of a
power failure if the luminaire is activated via the main
switch (toggle switch). The luminaire can be turned
on/off anytime via the main switch (toggle switch),
however, the dimming feature is deactivated (not all
versions).
When the power grid is back on, the luminaire is
automatically switched back to mains operation.
The battery is charged during power grid operation,
regardless of the switch position of the main switch.
In order to control the charge, there is an optical LED
display which is located on the reflector (see picture).
